corneliu_vladThe chronicler was complaining that we are “in the way of evil”, and modern historians and politologists are observing, judging by geopolitical values, that we were for centuries between great empires and we were the victims of their rivalries and their greed ambitions. In a way, the still are empires next to Romania still today, but we are talking about “reset” empires.

The true World OrderThe relations between Russia and the United States are being late in settling themselves into a more or less stable paradigm. And, as the paradigm is not yet stable, it is not possible a good management of bilateral relations. During the Cold War, one at least knew that between the two nuclear  military superpowers was functioning a force balance based on the principle of reciprocal destruction, which was enough to discourage each side and thus prevent them from doing fatal steps. A fragile, dangerous balance, but at least one knew the rules of the game.

The European Parliament has adopted in september 2008 a resolution proposing the establishment of a commemoration day for the victims of the nazist and communist regimes’ crimes in the XXth century. In it’s annual session, during June 28th – July 3rd,  the parliamentary  Assembly of OSCE  adopted a similar document.

We want good relations – what would we do with them?Prime-minister Putin signed in Ankara so many agreements on cooperation that his hand started hurting. Some 30 agreements on Russian-Turkish cooperation, gapingly counted by a Moscow journalist. Most of them is regarding the energetic field.
